Week 11 of almost no 1/2 training

So, I only ran twice last week. I was going to run 8 on Saturday or Sunday, but decided to not and actually race my 5k on Sunday. I did get a new PB by about 40 seconds which was good. I also ran on Tuesday (4.5) and then I did a Body Blast class on Wednesday which left me so sore that I could hardly walk down the stairs. It was a great class, but just left me too sore. I was also just getting so tired of running and I just wanted to run for fun. I feel like it's dragging along and I can't wait until my 1/2 is over and I can just run for fun.

On to my 5k (Race for the Cure) on Sunday.....my little brother ran is first race and he had never run further than 2.5 miles. He ran the 5k with a friend of mine in 27:11. He also got 3rd in his age group. I was so proud of him and I really was surprised that he did so well. My DH also got a new PB of right around 2 minutes better. From about 34 to about 32.

It was an absolutely awesome weekend and having my family around for the whole weekend was a ton of fun.

    Family event that's awesome. WTG cutting seconds off your PB. My Race for the Cure is coming up in less than 2 wks. Running has not came easy but I'm pushing thur and looks like time is on the back burner for now just completing it is my mission. A Doc's appt is in order for the ole ankle. So on to Week 12 for you! emoticon
