Closet...friend or foe?

It's that time of the year when people go through their closets and change from summer to winter clothes. Oh, who am I kidding, I don't change my clothes for the seasons! But this year I decided to give it a try. I haven't gone through my wardrobe in 3 years. Probably before I lost 66 pounds and reached my goal weight. I don't know if this was intentional or not. In the past when I've lost weight and gotten rid of all my "fat clothes", I gained it all back and had to spend money to restock my closet. This time even though I knew the weight was gone for good, I think I kept my clothes just as a precaution.
As I started to rummage through the clothes that I didn't recognize, I looked at the sizes and was surprised to find that besides the size I was wearing at the moment, I had 4 other sizes in there! Vanity prevents me from disclosing the range of sizes, but suffice it to say that WalMart has got nothing on me!
In the past I remember going into my closet at the beginning of the day and thinking, how fat or thin do I feel today? Grab a pair of jeans, try them on, suck it in and decide it's a fat day. Sweatpants and an oversize T-shirt for me. I longed for the day when I could reach in there and pull out anything, slip it on and walk away. After a couple of hours in there today, I can finally say that I could probably get dressed in the dark and feel confident!
So I can honestly say that after many years of warring, I can finally call my closet my friend! Garage sale anyone??????
