The trip there and here

I dare not even try to download a photo. The internet has been so unreliable. It is so discouraging at times. I actually have been using the time to enjoy the time away from the computer. I think we all need to unplug every once and a while. It keeps us sane.
The trip to Mbinga was really a good trip over all. I gained a few pounds, but it was water weight that dropped off plus a few pounds more. I have to be really happy about this, because I have not been at this low of a weight since I had the surgery some 18 months ago. Yeah!!!
I am working out harder than ever. Even on the road I managed to workout every day that we were not on the road. I ate as healthy as you are able on the road. African food is loaded with oil. I ate egg whites from the boiled eggs for breakfast along with oatmeal I brought from Arusha. I then ate like a bird for lunch and dinner. The only deviation was on my birthday when I ate the Snickers and birthday cake- no icing and very little sugar.
The day we left Mbinga was one of the hardest day of the trip. That morning the accomodation truck dropped through a storage tank of some sort- maybe a sewer. We were leaving the hotel that we stayed at when it happened, so it took the team about 2 hours to get the truck out of the hole.
The other hard day was the second day on the road. We got to the town we were to sleep in at 10:30 at night and it took an hour and a half to find a place to sleep. The place was really not clean, but it was a bed to crash on for some hours before leaving for our final destination the next morning.
Mbinga was really a very beautiful place. I do want to post some photos on my blog, but am afraid the internet speed won't let me. I will have to wait until the speed is better on a weekend or maybe when we finally get a new service provider- The current contract ends in October and we are going to see if another provider is a good option.
The good news is that there were thousands that came to the meetings in Mbinga. I don't know exactly how many came for prayer, but it had to be over 1000. There were so many who gave there lives to God and I am so happy that I was there.
So anyways I want to thank all my friends for all the great messages that I had waiting when I got back. I am still really behind on my posts. I teach the next 2 weeks and then have more time to play on the computer.
Please stay in touch with your prodigal daughter. I read the comments on my page and try to answer all my mail.
