No More Smoking!!!

I have Stopped Cold Turkey Smoking Cigarettes. Let me be the first to tell you that it has not been great and that I want one more than I dont want one but I am not giving in. I have even turned them down when people at my work offered them to me.

Why all of a sudden am I stopping??? I have my reasons that are others besides the fact that I am poor and buying cigarettes makes me even more or that yes, they are bad for my or even yes, they have made it harder for me to lose weight. I want to be able to breath better... yet that is still not the main

My main reason is that I am almost 30, have no children, and want at least 1.. so, I am preparing myself.. even if I dont have one for a couple of years, it is never to late to get yourself and your body prepared to live healthier when living for 2.

I know that it is going to be even harder in the coming months... but I know I can do it because I AM doing it.

I'm very proud of you. When I quit, it had a lot to do with money as well and that was almost ten years ago! They are so much more expensive now.

However, another reason is health. I have to be on BC pills because some female issues and a big possible side effect is blood clots. Throw in smoking which can cause blood clots, stroke and heart attack, well, I didn't want to stack the odds against me toooooooo much.

Good luck! I'm rooting for you!

I am sooooo Proud of you! You can do this. But let me give you one piece of advice, Take it slow and easy!!! Do it on day at a time. And Check in each day on you blog or with me or with some one as to how many days you have gone with out a cigarettes! Of it you even need to do it one hour at a time!!!
It is not easy to stop a vice. I know! I have not ever smoked but I have had many other vises And it is one day at a time. And ALl these 28 day programs seem to have it right (NOt that I have done one) But I now when I gave up Soda especailly Dr. Pepper the first 28 days were the worst. I know giving up soda may not sound like much but I promise you I was addicted to it and When I did not get a soda a was the biggest B itch!!! I had terrible with drawl reactions. I will assume giving up cigarettes would be much the same!!
So hang in there and keep me in touch!
