How today nearly turned into a weightloss failure day

Thursday, September 04, 2008

Its strange, I seem more determined than ever to lose weight and I can see my goal in sight but I keep on struggling on a day by day basis. I have set myself a goal of about 1,300 calories a day and burn an extra 400 calories through exercise on top of that. For the last 2 days though, my daily intake has easily gone over 1,600 calories (although being somewhat healthy), which is threatening to throw me off balance with my weightloss plans.

However, two ideas came to me this evening just after I ate a massive meal, I decided I can do two things:

1. Either not worry about it and start anew, and try my best tomorrow,

2. Do something about it now! If I ate a few hundred more calories than I meant to, then simply do more exercise to burn it off.

I choose option 2. and did Jillian's 30 day shred 20 minute circuit training and am now feeling very happy with myself compared to how I felt an hour ago.

I am so with you! I had an awesome workout today during lunch. Then came back to my desk, and found a massive lunch waiting that my sweet coworker set asside for me. I only planned to eat half, but it was so darn good. I will just have to get off my butt and make it in to step class tonight!

    Be encouraged, don't give up!
