2 months in

Wednesday, September 03, 2008

I've officially been here 2 months now. It's a little surprising to me that I stuck with anything for that long, but it's so worth it! Weigh in this morning and I broke the 200 mark. Grand total of 20 pounds gone, 2 more to 10% loss. Starting back to school has been rough. I've had trouble getting my exercise in, and I'm having a tough time not eating school lunch. Not that it's very good, just that it's so much easier than bringing my own. That'll be an ongoing challenge for me 'cause I'm kinda lazy that way.

I won a key chain today. Kind of a nice 2 month anniversary gift from the Spark wheel. That was pretty cool.

Didn't do real great with my August goals. Some better than others. Maybe a shorter list for September.

1. Keep walking at least 30 minutes 3 times a week. Low number, but a lot depends on weather conditions and time restraints. Plus I really like it when I go over my goal.
2. 2oo crunches every day in September. If I do my 6000 I get a treat. Don't know what yet, but it better be good.
3. Stay in my calorie goal 5 consecutive days and 20 total days of the month.
4. Keep up with the "to be graded" pile on my desk
5. Get enough sleep!

I'm reluctant to set weight goals because I'm afraid of setting myself up for failure, but here goes anyway. I want to hit 180 by Christmas.

Happy September everyone!

I think you're smart not to set specific weight goals. People that are serious about weight training and fitness normally go up a little in weight before they go down so most of them don't weigh in for months at a time so they won't be discouraged. You should let your abs rest after a day of crunches from what I've read. your ab muscles are like any other, they need a rest after a good workout but you would get the same effect for every other day. your goals are awesome!
