China?

Wednesday, August 27, 2008

OK, so at dinner tonight my DH says, "What would you think about living in China for 2 years?" It would be in Shen Zhen ... only about 12 million people (gasp!).

OK, I've never been and have very limited knowledge of Chinese language and culture or the American community in Shen Zhen. I really don't know what to think. We lived in Belgium for 5 years, but that was in our twenties, but we did love that experience. We have two boys who'd come with us, ages 16 and 8. Our 19yo would stay here in college ... I think!

He hasn't been offered the job. He was just testing the water with me; so I don't know about salary, housing, or anything.

Would you go if given the chance? Why or why not? Anyone with experience living in China?

I haven't but I know someone who just got back from spending a month there... MUSICDEBI1 was there to teach music for a month. Maybe you could ask her about her experience.

Personally, I don't do well in crowds...yikes...I prefer to be in a smaller group of people.

Keep us posted as to what goes on, okay?
