hey look, it's my first blog!

Hello everybody. So, I'm new here, but not new to the trying to lose weight game. I've been chunky my entire life. I've yo-yoed back and forth from just kinda chunky to oh my god how can she walk. Sadly enough, i'm on the higher end of the spectrum right now, but i'm trying. my husband and i were really gung-ho about losing weight early this year. you know how it goes, new years resolution, join the gym, drop 20 pounds, then skip the gym one day. oh, one french fry won't completely de-rail me, right? oh i'm in a hurry, let's just stop at mc donalds for supper. then you wake up and realize it's august and you've put back on 15 of the 20 pounds you lost. i'm kind of in a funk right now with the weight loss. i'm trying to claw my way back out of it. it's hard to keep focused on small goals and not got overwhelmed by the huge number of pounds i know i need to lose. so, that's why i'm here. hopefully all the awesome stuff on this site will help keep me focused on small day to day changes i can make that can add up to big changes later in the month, year, later in my life. so, my first set of small goals is at least 10 minutes of cardio exercise, and drinking more water. now, this could take a while to get into the habit of because frankly, i hate both of those. i hate exercise, and a hate water. but i have a wii fit, and i have to admit, i kinda of rock the hula hoop game. i can't breathe when i'm done with it, but i rock it while i'm doing it! LOL and i did just buy a super cute new water jug, so hopefully that will keep my interest for a while. emoticon so i guess that's it for now. thanks for stopping by!

    Congrats on your first blog entry! Journaling, whether using a public blog, private blog or the journal on the planner page is a great way to help monitor your progress. Many folks also find setting mini goals with mini rewards for each one helpful, too.
