So I went to the clinic today and my ankle is still not healing because I work so much! The pounds are creeping back on because I only workout a few days a week. I got two workouts done this week. So I am going to start trying to do sit ups to at least burn some calories. My food intake is still pretty good. Could be better. I am just getting frustrated. The doc said I need to get completely off it but its not that easy for me. I will do the best I can. Any suggestions on workouts I can do without using my feet?

    Push Ups! Check out the post on the forums-challenge section. When I first started I could barely finish 10. Now I am up to 50. 20 at once, then a small break in between the last 30. I am working my way up to 100 per day.. How about the bike? They have the ones where you remain seated.

    I know you can do it. Just take it easy. Come back from vacation refreshed. emoticon

    I'm so emoticon to hear that you are still not able to work 100%! But some times rest is key to keep you from permanent injury. How we used to back as kids is not the same standard for us as we age but I did go & look at a couple of fitness articles in the "Fitness" section of Spark & they did have things like stretch, chair exercises & floor/core work. Be very careful as to not strain yourself & wait for the doctor to give you the a o.k. before you return 50%!

    Drink plenty of milk & take your vitamins & meds you has prescribed! Most importantly be good to you, this is NOT a dress rehearsal!! emoticon

    Hello, sorry you aren't feeling too great at the moment. how about concentrating on strength training, like some of the sp online video workouts with the resistance bands or dumbbells? Hmm its hard it think about an exercise that wont hurt your ankle more. Maybe taking a few days off would be a good idea so you rest properly and then slowly get back to your pre injury fitness level
