I am so excited to get my massage once I reach my goal weight. It will be a reward well-deserved.
Until then, I have been rewarding myself with little things each day.
-enjoying a cup of hot chocolate
-soaking in the bathtub
-painting my toenails
-reading a magazine from cover to cover
-eating tons of watermelon...seriously, i've probably eaten two whole watermelons in the past month
-renting a movie and enjoying a big bowl of popcorn
-playing card games with my husband
-cooking myself a healthy 'gourmet' meal
-cuddling on the couch
-playing with my kitty
-allowing myself to do nothing for the evening
I know this is totally cliche, but sometimes I need to remind myself to enjoy the little things. If I can start to view each of these as a special treat, I think I will start to see my attitude become more and more positive each day.
