6wbmo

Sunday, August 03, 2008

Okay. So my baby is officially taking enough formula where he won't show signs of booby withdrawal, and I won't feel guilty from not giving it to him. Yay. So I dusted off my 6wbmo kit (seriously, there was DUST on it) that I had put away after finding out that I was pregnant. Wow. That was a little over a year ago. So, no salt and no sugar and no processed foods seems extreme, but I don't really like salt anyway, and I've been 'practicing' discipline the past few weeks, so I think I'm ready for this change. VERY ready. My grandmother was diagnosed with both breast cancer and diabetes a few days ago. Wow. My great grandmother had it too (cancer), and a great aunt of mine. So, all those ideas about going back to smoking have pretty much gone out the window, and now I can put "Not getting Cancer/Diabetes" as the #1 reason to get on this program, right over #2 (better clothes selection), #3 (looking even better for the hubby), and #4 (not having to squeeze past everyone who sits with their chairs 1/2 out from the table!)

Welcome back.... your goals sound very good and achievable. Good luck on staying smoke free and achieving your goals. I am sorry to hear your grandma was diagnosed with BC and diabetes. I will keep her in my prayers. I am a 9 yr BC survivor.
