PMS and Caloric Intake...Help!

After a few months of tracking calories, I finally realized something very interesting...My caloric intake skyrockets the week before my period starts. I'm not talking 100-200 extra calories, it's more like 500 - PER DAY. I'm just starving and craving comfort foods all the time. Plus, salads and veggies just don't sit well with me before my period.
What can I do to curb my appetite before my period so I don't reverse the results of my hard work during the rest of the month?
