I think the most impacting part of the trip for me was the visit to a Buddhist temple. Huge, decorative, elaborate palaces...filled with such evil. It was painful to walk through for me. We were told we could walk the perimeter and take pics if you were discrete. You saw people everywhere...worshipping different gods. Buddha was in their equivalent of the Holy of hollies. Then there were smaller shrines off to the sides of different Gods...people would go to the God of their choice depending on the prayer (Infertility, riches, health, etc). People brought food offerings...then after praying, took them back home! Is it an offering if you get to keep it? Then...this photo hit my heart. This woman, all by herself. At the gate of her god...not allowed to approach, touch, or have a relationship. Wow. I am so blessed to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. He not only calls me to His side, but he envelopes me with His arms, soothes my worries, and fears, He lifts me out of darkness and allows grace to cover all my sin. He accepts my piddly offerings and chooses to see me as righteous...because I am covered by his blood. He has touched me. I pray that for this lost woman....Lord, allow her to find You soon. And may she draw others to your side as well. Shut down the dark temples of Taiwan and erect temples in the hearts of the Taiwanese...temples indwelled by Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
