I am playing blog catch up from starting so late, but if I don't make a record I will forget.
I got started on strength training just last week, when a kindly older man (who is a center employee) took me on an orientation program, and set up a casual "program" of training. I have not yet decided whether to do every day, with an upper body workout one day and a lower the next, or go with every other day with a full body workout both times. I did not think that time would be a constraint, but by the time I get 10 min. warm up on the elliptical trainer before and 20 (to be worked up to 30) on the ski machine after, I'm there for at least an hour and a quarter. And at that, I am doing upper or lower, not both.
It seems that it may work out to be 4 days per week...? And half the workout - upper or lower - each day. When fall comes... we'll see what shakes down.
