Training to Run updates!

Tuesday, July 01, 2008 we have surpassed day 2. We have run 4 times now. I have to tell you that I've found my first wall....the wall that says you can't do it! The wall that begs you to eat chips and watch tv instead. I gave into this wall today. I had a heart monitor on over the weekend because i've been feeling faint and the doc just wanted to make sure that my heart was beating properly, so that cancelled out sunday. We were going to run today, cause it's july 1st and all and we all had the day off HAPPY BIRTHDAY CANADA!!!! But, i slept till noon, then found more important things to do like sleep, and watch tv.
BUT! I have recognized the wall, and awoken from my illusion that I can't do it! I know I can do it! I will run again tomorrow!
We will be on week 2, so that should be harder, i think we run now for 90 seconds and walk for 2 minutes.
We have found that we are getting shin splints, and our hearts do beat pretty fast. I definatley want to buy good running shoes and a heart monitor, but all in good time.
I am jumping back on the band waggon tomorrow! :D Who's gonna join me?
