Slight dip, but keeping on...

Thursday, June 26, 2008

I hit a bump in the fitness road, overate for a few days, didn't exercise...but I'm back on track and getting my mindset focused on health once again. These slight dips are going to happen on my journey to knowing myself and why I overate in the first place. This time, definitely stress. It does scare me, though, how quickly I went back to old habits...they say it takes 30 days to create a new habit, and I've been eating healthier and exercising for three times that long. I can see the effects, though. It only lasted a few days...not a few months or a year...and I was NOT comfortable with it (especially the feelings of being bloated and lethargic). So, this is also a form of progress...learning from mistakes.

I did the same thing last week. Didn't exercise and felt awful, busting my butt now to get myself back in gear. I feel bad when I do nothing for one day, even though it is good to let your body rest. Well good luck to you and don't get discouraged!
