REALLY Getting Serious...

Monday, June 16, 2008

I am SO ready to be rid of all the extra weight, and recently I learned of a program that could help me do it. It turns out that the representative (coach) for the program in my area goes to my church. What I'm doing is following the Medifast (www.medifast1.com) program. So my secret is out! Medifast sends me pre-packaged meals, I eat 5 of them a day, and I eat one meal of lean meat and vegetables. I'm taking in about 1000 calories per day, drinking about 10 glasses of water, and trying to get exercise although I've slacked in that area. I feel great, and lost 6 pounds in the first two weeks! The research on Medifast shows that it's safe and effective, and I'll probably only need to be on the full program for about 3 months. People are noticing that I'm taking more weight off, and I'm so excited about how baggy my clothes are getting! Today I dropped down to the 160's for the first time in about 20 years. WooHoo! emoticon

When I reach my goal weight Medifast will help me transition back into eating regular foods, and I plan to really read up on Intuitive Eating and live it for the rest of my life.

There is nothing that feels better than putting on something that was too tight and it feels baggy! Way to Go! Good luck with the rest of the program.

Hi Ena and another emoticon on that fantastic weight loss. Yes, I know that programme will work for you because it is much better to be eating 'small' more frequently through out the day. When I've done this it somehow makes you feel that you're always eating something and most people like that!LOL!
I just know that you will go from strength to strength and will soon reach your goal!

Congratulations on the 6 pound weight loss in two weeks!!! Being in the 160's is really great!! You are doing a great job!!! Keep it up. As long as you are eating healthy, that's great. MediFast basically just does all the thinking and calorie counting for you except for one meal a day, right? Do you get to pick your meals with them? I think I will check it out and see if it will work for diabetics. I have been at this crazy plateau for a long time now...although the doctors are playing with my meds which isn't helping.
You are creating a body that is strong and balanced! From your own efforts, you are making a difference, and you should feel good about yourself. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
