so I had the MAP test and resting heart rate test done.
Resting heart rate told me I am eating right. 1141 per day to sustain bodily functions and given my lifestyle I need 1597 to do what I do everyday. I have to then add on the amount of calories I burn each day in my workouts to 1597 to maintain my weight. SInce I want to burnfat increase muscle I don't not want a calorie deficit ...

As for the fun running test uphill on the tredmill. Well it was not fun. They warmed me up walking then gradualy had me jogging @ 5.0 speed. Then gradually increased the incline to where I was @ a 15% incline. The problem? The point of the test is to get me to a point where I am sucking air and not longer at an enjoyable aerobic place.... my anerobic threshold. Well according to the computer which was not only reading my heart rate (which I only use when I workout) but also my breath that I exhale I kept recovering everytime they increase the intensity (aka incline) thats great overall... yeah... but for the purpose of the test not great since at the speed (5.0) I was never going to reach my AT.

SOOO I have to go back Thursday and have the test done again. Who knew? It will be @ a 6.0 speed and hopefully not as high as an inclline to get me to my AT.

My husband told me this proves I am not working out as hard as I should be when I am working out... ugh

Where did you go to get this test? I asked at the front desk of my gym, but the guy behind the counter didn't have a clue what I was talking about? Then again, he didn't look like the most astute fellow.
