Ups and Downs

I've been plateaued for about three months now. I have to say, I'm getting pretty tired of it. It's hard to stay motivated when there's no movement in the scale or the tape measure week after week, even though I'm doing everything right.

The hardest part for me is staying within the calorie guidelines recommended here. If I manage to stay at or below 1550, I am absolutely starving. And this is with a lapband! I'm going to bed so hungry every night that my stomach hurts, and by the end of the week, after feeling hungry every day, I just want to give up. I rarely go over 1800 calories, which I would have thought would still allow me to lose weight, especially with amount of exercise I do. But I guess not. It must be time for another fill. After my 60K walk this coming weekend, I'll be scheduling an appointment.

I'm a little apprehensive about a getting a fill based on my previous two experiences being filled tighter than I am right now. Both times it hurt to eat, and I had to get de-filled. But I'm better at chewing properly now, and I'm hopeful that will make a difference.

I'm trying not to get discouraged, and to keep positive and motivated, but it sure is getting difficult.
