It seems like every time I get into a routine of healthy eating and good exercise, something comes up to throw me off and I have to start all over again! I was doing really well a few weeks ago; my husband and I bought new bikes and a bike trailer for our son so we could go on daily family bike rides. All was going well for a while until one day the sidewalk decided it wanted to get better acquainted with me. I still don't know how I ended up on the ground, but I bruised up both knees (they're still quite "colorful"), scratched up my back, got a quarter-sized crater in my right palm, and dislocated my thumb (what a loud "pop!" that made when I put it back where it belonged!!!) Sore muscles, holes in my hand, etc, have prevented work-outs for about a week. I was finally starting to feel ready to get going and told my husband I was going to start working out again. Middle of that same night, I woke up making a bee-line for the bathroom before I threw up. I've been fighting it for 3 days now (food poisoning, maybe?) Will I EVER be able to stick with a healthy routine and get the results I deserve? At least I'm reaching my "8 Glasses a Day" goal with no problem!!! Still, isn't it about time for me to get a break? emoticon

Harmony... hang in there. Bad things sometimes happen.. but it is not the fall that defines us.. but whether or not you get back up. And you DO! You are strong.. and determined.. and you are doing wonderfully!!!

You do seem to be having a bit of bad luck lately... but it will pass. I've had a pretty difficult time staying motivated since you moved, but I'm trying really hard. I had the same problem of not being able to work out for a while (all last week 'cause of my dumb sunburn) and I found it pretty difficult to get back to it starting this week. If I go too long without doing it, it seems even harder to get back up again... Get back in the groove and DON'T let yourself stop. I don't have anything specific other than the pure inner desire to lose this weight... but I really didn't feel like working out yesterday, but I did anyway and of course as I knew I would, I felt great afterwards.

We need to come up with a way to get each other going again. What can we challenge each other to make sure that we do our workout as scheduled?
