on my nightstand

Sunday, June 01, 2008

OK, full discolosure - I don't really have a nightstand. I love to read, though, and have lots of fitness books and others that are particular favorites. Reading a good book is just the thing to keep me inspired - or just distracted from the fridge! Here are some to check out if you are looking for a good read:

Journey Into Power by Baron Baptiste
40 Days to Personal Revolution by Baron Baptiste
Yoga Body, Buddha Mind by Cyndi Lee
30 Essential Yoga Poses by Judith Hanson Lassater

Christian Yoga:
Holy Yoga by Brooke Boon
Yoga for Christians by Susan Bordenkircher
Prayer of Heart and Body by Fr. Thomas Ryan

From Russia with Tough Love by Pavel Tsatsouline
Enter the Kettlebell by Pavel Tsatsouline

I am also currently reading Soon to be a Major Motion Picture by Donna Partow, and doing a group Bible study called Believing God by Beth Moore. Being physically fit is not of much use if my spirit is a mess!

Two of my favorite novels are: Cold Sassy Tree by Olive Ann Burns and A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving. I also recently re-read To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.

How about you? What books would you suggest for my "to read" list? Thanks for your recommendations!
