I am Fat but I am not Lazy

Today while looking at the messages posted on Spark CAFE I came across a topic that greatly disturbed me. The postings on this topic have been very judgemental by a certain young lady who claims she does not need support to lose weight. Also one posting by her made the statement that she thinks people who are extremely overweight are lazy. At first this statement hurt my feelings and caused me to cry but now I realize that it is an untrue and just general statement made by someone who is very misguided. I am fat because I have made poor choices in the past but I have never been lazy and never have any of my friends who are on Spark. I have worked hard all my life to hold a job and raise my family and help my husband do it too. People who are fat are not stupid and we are not lazy and we are not ugly. I work hard every day to boost my self esteem and make me want to stay on Spark and lose my weight to be healthier and there are so many beautiful and talented and hard working people who are at Spark. I hope I can continue to support and help them as much as they have helped me. Also I am trying very hard to not be judgemental of this young woman who has been posting on Spark and I just wanted to go on record but I did not want to answer on the posting. She may not need support but I sure do and I am grateful for it. Thanks everyone.
