Off the Hiatus...

OK, I've been completely out of the spark for almost three weeks, and it shows. I kept up the exercise, but did not log my food at all, and it resulted in me gaining about 5 lbs.

I was busy entertaining out of town guests for a week, in addition to work/home stuff. We did walk alot - we saw lots of NYC that we have not been to, so it was fun. I also got my first 10 mile bike ride of spring - up the along the hudson, from W. 84th to the GWB and back. Love the feeling! I went again yesterday. I have not yet done the loop at Central Park, there's too many bikers there... I will try it next week.

Eating was not so good during the weeks I was "off" and it shows. bummer! But I am re-focusing, now...

So now I am back and joining a May Challenge on turbojammers. I am planning on biking at least 3x a week (weather permitting) and do some form of turbo/cardio the other 2 or 3 times, as well as log my food religiously.

I am looking for a turbokick instructor who'd like to give classes 2x a week in my area to a small group of women, who don't want to join a gym... I put out some feelers. I just get very bored of doing the same thing over and over again!

I also have been experiencing knee pain as I go down the stairs. I don't feel any pain while biking or walking, but sometimes in turbo, it does hurt - which is why I've been avoiding it.

So here goes - My goal for May is to be consistent in my exercise and careful of my food choices. And it would be nice to drop the five lbs and then some!
