Post-Race Challenge

Friday, April 25, 2008

Ok, since my race is next week, and I can't do anything without a goal, I am trying to come up with a new challenge. Most of it will depend on my race time, because if I'm within 20 minutes of a Boston Qualifying time, I'm running a race this fall. But, I need a slim down challenge, and FAST because I leave for vacation on May 30!

It will probably go something like this:

21 workouts in 21 days!
4 X 5 mile runs a week (depending on the pain I feel after the marathon)
3 X strength workouts using the firm
300 crunches a day!

Goal would be to lose 6 pounds.

As of this morning, my ticker reflects my true weight. The weight I gained during my hard months of training and over the winter has come off. I would like to ultimately lose 11 more pounds, but I'll settle for 6 more by the end of May!

Go for it my friend. You can do it. Watch what you eat as well. You might want to investigate the high calorie and low calories days thing as well. It's wakes up your body so you can lose weight quicker. It's about eating a few more calories on days you do you cardio and lower them slightly when you aren't. But it can be quite difficult to keep track of so there would be more planning of meals involved. Have an awesome weekend, my friend. hugs xxx
