I woke very early this morning. I couldn't get my mind off the mission auction and how our church body has really taken missions to heart. We had 30 people go to New Orleans over Spring Break, we had several teens take trips with CIY (1 to Taiwan, 1 to South Africa, 1 to Panama, several to Mexico), Mike and I to Malawi 3X now, 6 are gearing up for Taiwan this summer(including myself)...
But as I think about Mike and I heading to Malawi full time, God showed me this morning that it isn't just us "going". Jesus commanded us to "go", but not every person can or should pack up and go live on foreign soil. My lesson for today is that every prayer, every $, every word of encouragement, every visit, every email...all of those persons are "going". I am amazed. I am even more convinced this is not, nor has it ever been 'our ministry' is totally His and He uses all His people to accomplish His will...

This is so true. It's hard to make others understand this. I was greatly burdened by the lack of mission-minded people during my last visit to the USA. The ones who held up Moses' arms were no less important that Moses in God's plan. Prayers mean more than the financial and then to KNOW that they are praying. It is so discouraging when you feel forgotten. I am praying for you as you make this transition.

So very true. When we were 'raising support' we tried to get people to realize that, even as God had called us to go, He might be calling them to give. BUT, they were to stop, pray, and listen as to which/how many missions they should give to. If God called them to 'just pray' (what an odd way to refer to the most powerful tool), then that was what they should do.
I am continueing to pray and praise as God does wonderful things in and thru you.
