is there a book named HOW TO BE TERRI?

Saturday, April 12, 2008

I thoroughly enjoy having SparkPeople with me as a part of my journey towards a healthier me.
I have developed healthier habits because of the personal documentation via sparkpoints... I love 'checklists' accountability.
And the community accountability is totally awesome in so many ways that I can't even begin to describe.
I have lost weight while developing a healthy lifestyle.

Right now, I am experiencing an inner battle which society
usually defines as a mental health issue. So here is yet another
awesome beneficial blessing of SparkPeople: being mentally healthly is considered just as important as physical health. Other 'lose weight' programs while claiming to change lifestyle habits tend to gloss over the mental/emotional/spiritual wellbeing...or such has been my experience....

So now while I am dealing with my physical health, I am deeply exploring how to be a healthier, inner ME.

I have many questions. My major question is do I have a purpose. At this point, I don't even care what the purpose is, I just want to know if I have a purpose... Is there a reason for all of the happenings in my life? Is it for me only or does my journey serve to better the world?

I admit I become frustrated when answers do not appear quickly... So perhaps patience is one thing that I should address.. But right now I don't have time emoticon.

But I feel so blessed to have SparkFriends to help me search and seek and explore.... and to remind me that all of the answers I need are to be found inside of me...

BUMMER... I so wish there was a book named: HOW TO BE TERRI

blessings ya'll, terri princess of the terri-tory

Your Highess! Always a pleasure to visit with you.

Just so you know...HARPCATS, the commoner with the broken foot and broken hand, (see below) is a tap-dancing friend of mine.

She has recovered enough to dance again; her first tap class since the foot was broken, was last night. She was so happy and relieved to be back in class with those tap shoes on that she cried for a good 30 minutes with she returned home.

That should keep you smiling and dancing on the ceiling for a while!

    Your friend,
    The Court Jester
AKA: Queen Posh Boo, Queen Legarathien, Barbara 66, BSue (people call me a LOT of things)

Maybe I have a different take on the idea of "purpose" because I'm an atheist. . . . LOL Since I don't believe I've been PUT here for a purpose/reason, I try to DEVELOP purpose in my life. So even if you believe that someone else has a "higher" purpose for you, you can still create your OWN sense of purpose. Look around you and see what kind of affect you can have on your world. Where can you help? Where can you lend your expertise?

I've read several of your message board posts, and it seems that one of the purposes that you have (unintentionally?) created for yourself is that of friend and encourager. We ALL could use more people like YOU in our lives! =) Don't stress over FINDING your purpose. Your sense of purpose will eventually find YOU if you just keep your mind open to experiences.

Hey there-There are plenty of "self help" books that will help YOU find YOUR life's purspose. /the life on Purpose Process by Brad Swift (I used one of their life coaches and loved it). Sometimes or purpose is just to be a good person, but if you're feeling something's missing in your life, Google life coaching. Or Spark mail me for more info.

Well, I am neither a princess nor a duchess, but your page, your pictures, and your blog have brought a big smile to my face! Maybe that's what your purpose is for TODAY, just a teeny bit (?) ... to bring a smile to someone's face. Me. Just a little ol' commoner! I'm in a "fractured fairytale," too ... a broken ankle & broken hand. Sorta gives you a new perspective on things, doesn't it?
