Seriously need to rest

Friday, April 11, 2008

Oh my goodness I am beat. Hell of a 2 days and I am so tired. Yesterday, I completed my workout as planned. But I think I did something to my foot and my darn knee is acting up as well. Today, I haven't tried to do anything yet because of the foot, knee, and staying up all night rearranging my home for my carpet shampooing. Needless to say, I could use a bit of a nap and some pain reliever. I am kind of ticked off though because I have been exercising so well this wk. Now I don't think I should be doing anything-at least that is what my body is saying. My mind is saying different! I actully do want to walk/jog today or even do a few workout dvd's. I have joined new teams and new challenges and I think they would appreciate if I followed through with my goals and plans.

I am debating on what I should do. Should I workout even though I know something is wrong or should I rest? I have already had 1 rest day too many. Besides that, I really want to write down my progress because I am anxious to see my results next wk. I don't know. I think I am going to lie down and slee on it. If my mind is clear when I wake and if there is no pain, I might just give it a shot.

I would say definitely listen to your body. There may be an injury and there may not be one. But resting will answer that question. You don't want to increase the injury if there is one. Perhaps tomorrw you'll feel better and be able to go back to working out. Great mindset with the dedication and i"m sure your teammates will understand.
