Taking a Mental Break

Friday, April 11, 2008

I've decided to take a mental break from the weight loss process and only use the Nutrition and Fitness tracker for awhile. In the past, I've discovered removing my head from the equation often results in weight loss. I have a horrible tendency to over think what I'm doing and end up running in circles.

I weighed in at my doctor's and have lost 4 pounds in 4 weeks. I'm proud of my achievement and happy with my success.

Still, I feel I need to stop analyzing every little thing that goes into my mouth and live for a little while. Work out daily, track my calories to stay within range and accept the weight will come off if I'm consistent.

So, I'm not weighing myself until May 9th which is my next appointment. All I will be doing is eating 1500 - 1600 calories per day, 30 minutes of turbo jam 6 times per week and circuit training 3 times per week. I'll walk and have my weekly cheat day whenever I feel like it.

Hopefully there will be a difference on May 9th. *crosses her fingers* I just know if I keep analyzing things as I am now, I'll discourage myself and fall off the wagon. I need to just have faith and take my anxiety out of the equation. Wish me luck! :)
