I've been nursing a slipped disc since Monday. Haven't been able to exercise this week. Most of the time haven't been able to stand upright or bend over. It improves a little bit each day but I think it will be several more days before I'm up and about again.

It hasn't been all bad - I still managed to lose a pound. When I hobble about from room to room I can feel my abs and other muscles compensating to hold me up (even tho I do look a bit like the hunchback of notre dame) And I've caught up with my studying.

I've stayed in my calorie range, but haven't been eating very healthily. Very few veg this week. I've had to rely on uncooked meals or heating frozen stuff in the microwave.

The housework is screaming out at me. Even worse, I'm sitting here thinking how nice it would be to DO the housework. (nooooo - please someone take those nasty thoughts away)

I injured my back by bending over a table for nearly 2 hours doing the ironing. I should have stopped as soon as I felt the twinges, as this isn't the first time I've had a slipped disc but I really wanted to get that huge pile of clothes ironed and put away. My new ironing board arrived the next day. If only I had waited. Ironing should carry a health warning. People - you are warned - "Ironing is bad for your health" Avoid it whenever you can.
