I never realized how unhealthy some of the meals I made were until I started tracking the calories and simple carbs in them. Wow, 700 calories on a meal only to be hungry a few hours later, what a waste. All those prepackaged pastas, rices, and helpers are so unhealthy. Fast? Yes, but a waste of calories.
So, I've been trying a lot of new recipes lately. Sparkrecipes have come in handy, that's for sure! The down side of this is that I have spent a lot more time in the kitchen. Let's hope this helps in the long run for me.
