I never realized how unhealthy some of the meals I made were until I started tracking the calories and simple carbs in them. Wow, 700 calories on a meal only to be hungry a few hours later, what a waste. All those prepackaged pastas, rices, and helpers are so unhealthy. Fast? Yes, but a waste of calories.
So, I've been trying a lot of new recipes lately. Sparkrecipes have come in handy, that's for sure! The down side of this is that I have spent a lot more time in the kitchen. Let's hope this helps in the long run for me.

    Taking the extra time to prepare meals really will pay off. All those processed/packaged foods have so many hidden unhealthy ingredients. Soon you will figure out some quick and easy meals to make for those days you don't have the extra time. Hang in there!
