Positive Influence

Saturday, March 08, 2008

The last few days I have dealt with some folks who opinions do not mesh with my own. And of course people can disagree, but there are those who make you feel bad for having an opinion. This sort of detracted from the overall enjoyment that I had been having since joining Spark. But there is good news...I have also received much support and good counsel! I was truly touched by people who sparkmailed, visited my page, and gave me pep talks on other threads. I have added more folks to my friend's list that are genuine, motivating, and nice. So what could've been a totally negative experience was actually positive.

As a PoliSci major I could tell you I'm no stranger to conflicting opinions!

Screw em! Life's too short for that, stay true to your beliefs! (Gosh that sounds so cheesy but I mean it!)

The important thing is that YOU know you are doing the right thing for you. As you know I'm a BIG fan of Spark People and if I ran into negativity about this site or about anything in general. I change my path.

I have made lots of friends here, you included. We are ALL here for you and just as excited to see you succeed.

    Great blog!
I so agree. I just wish people could reply once and give their opinion and let it go.
I need to learn to not be dragged into this trap. I really enjoy this site. I am learning and made so many friends. I love when there are different opinions. Intelligent opinions. Not preachy ones.
Here we go Steelers Here we go!!!!!
