I didn't lose any weight this week...well...yet. Last night we went out to dinner and I had a salad and steak, and onion rings. I'm betting I'm retaining water, cause I woke up in the middle of the night very thirsty. I'm going to drink a ton of water today and weigh again tomorrow to see if anything moved. On the brighter side though, I lost 1/2 in. off my hips and another 1/2 off my neck. So thats good.

I think that you are on track realizing that this probable is water weight. I read an article recently(I'll find it and site my source later.) that said that we retain water to repair our muscles after a big work out, which gives them time to heal, then the next week the water releases and the person has a good weight loss. That made sense to me. I wish that I had know that sooner when I used to rack my brain looking for reasons for not losing weight after working out so hard.
Yea You, forget the scale, I'd take the glorious victory of inches lost! Keep your eyes on the prize, a beautiful svelte you!

Oh you know ist that salt....it will show some improvement but with the inches lost you may have gained muscle instead . I also have observed that the day does matter. The weekends are always the worst for me so weighing during the week shows the actual improvement. GREAT JOB to you!!!

What good observational skills of surfacing!!! Maybe you should change your weigh in day! I used to weigh on Saturday am and it would affect my whole weekend. Now I have switched to Tuesday am and my weight is much more consistent and I can track a more steady loss. I hadn't really thought of it as being from the day change though!!!

That's great! I bet if you weigh in tomorrow, it will be better.

Didn't this happen last week? Maybe you should officially move your weigh-in day to Sunday. :-)

Congrats on the loss of inches!
