My FABULOUS Weekend!

Thursday, March 06, 2008

We had such a great weekend. I really hated to come back...

Thursday night, we left for Disney. Dan and the kids went on down because I had a PTSA meeting. I met them at the hotel around 9 p.m. They had already investigated everything at the hotel and were dying to go in the hot tub, but it was way too cold! My kids crack me up. They are such foodies. Here is how our planning of Friday went per Autumn... First we will go to Animal Kingdom and ride Everest. Then, we will go to Epcot and ride Soarin'. Then we will walk over to Italy to get some chocolate. Then we will go over to France to the Patisserie and have croissants and yummy desserts. Then we will go over to Hollywood Studios and ride Rockin' Roller Coaster. Then we will go to the Magic Kingdom and have corn dog nuggets at the baseball place. Then we will ride all the rides and then we will have Mickey Mouse Ice Cream bars.

Have I raised this child right or what?!? She is as big a foodie as I am. Quite frankly, I could stay in Epcot for the food and wine and leave the rest to the kids!

Friday, Autumn and I got up at 6:30 a.m. and went to the gym. I probably should have left her in the room, but she wanted to go. I worked out on some of the machines and got on the treadmill (because I would not be walking enough at the parks!!!). Autumn got on a treadmill as well and could not make it past 20 minutes. After our workout, we went to the eatery and picked up breakfast and went back to the room. From there we caught our bus to Hollywood studios. It was ESPN weekend. So we rode Rocking Roller Coaster (Nick says he will NEVER ride it again) and played at the ESPN event. We had lunch at the 50's diner. It was okay. The best part was when the waiter came over and plopped the napkins and silverware in front of Autumn and said, "Here Princess, set the table". She was in shock! He came back later and fussed at her for texting at the table. All were laughing except Autumn. Oh, the preteen/teenage years! We then went to Epcot and only got to ride one ride before we had to head back home to pick up my niece and nephew. We were all excited about this. We do not get to spend time with them anymore and were aloud to have them. Long story. We got them and headed back to Epcot. We rode Soarin, got chocolate in Italy and headed to the Magic Kingdom. We spent the rest of the night over there.

Saturday, I went to the gym and just got on the treadmill. We were all over the place in the parks and Saturday night, we ate at the restaurant in the hotel. I had a salmon and salad that was AMAZING! And the kids loved their food as well.

Sunday was more of the same. We did hit Italy and France for our last day. And we hit the corn dog place in Magic Kingdom. AND I did get them MM bar ice creams after dinner.

Monday, we were sad to have to leave and go back to reality, but we had the best time.

Now I am back. I have planned my meals for the week and am getting back to my exercise routine. I have gotten my sweet tooth tamed and am ready to get serious again. Until the next trip to Disney!
