Simple Reminders

Simple Reminders. Today, take some time to remember what motivates you. Why are you doing this? What do you keep in mind when you stumble? What keeps you going when you are struggling? Blog it—you know the drill

Those seem like such simple questions. But are they? I want to be healthy. I want to be fit. I want to look good, no I want to look GREAT! I want to like the reflection I see in the mirror. I want to feel that I am working toward being the best person I can be. I want to feel confident when walking down the street or entering a room. When I struggle and stumble, I try to remember that I have come so far from where I started. I haven't given up this time and I have stayed with it for over a year. I remember how much better I feel. I don't breathe heavy when I get to the stop of the stairs. I have the energy to clean, do my chores and atill have the energy to play after the work is done. I try to remember to take it one day at a time and that when I take a step backwards, it is not the end of the world. I can make new decisions tomorrow. I also try and remember the compliments that I have received from people who know how hard the struggle is. And most of all, I think of all my spark friends and teammates who have encouraged me and given me that extra something when I didn't think I could do it for myself. I do it for me but I do it as much for them and to show them that their hard work for me and trust has not been in vain and is much appreciated! Together, we will all get there!

    You can't go back to being your "old" self, I only know you the way you are now so that IS who you are to me :-) And besides, knowing we will see each other again keeps me motivated too!
