Carrying on again.

Well I've eaten a few things I shouldn't but I kept them mostly in moderation. (1 occasion we won't elaborate on that's classified as a binge. Mostly eating well though andi'm planning meals better.
I'm proud of the extra exercise I've done this week, especially the walking. My gait is improving heaps, I'm using my knees more, lifting my feet more and not walking from the hips. I've slackened off on food recording; this week that will be my target. Still doing well with water,fruit and vegies -things I neve thought I'd conquor and I'm not even tempted with pepsi max after having a 2 litre a day habit.

    Great job!!!!! Your doing great. I have a saying I use when I get tempted. " NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS THIN FEELS" I say that alot theses days!

    Good for you Karen...I'm so proud of you and glad you are feeling even a little bit better. The waling is one of my problems too, so I can sympathize with trying to get the exercise going. I've been using my cardioglide and it makes me feel so proud of myself...I'm trying to do it one minute more every day...it a good exercise for me. You keep up the good work...because you deserve to be happy for all the help you give others.

    Karen, very nice to hear from you! I had a TAB addiction in the 70's and 80's which switched then to Diet Coke through the rest of the 80's, into the 90's and up until about 6 months ago... I finally reduced it tremendously before starting SP and now, not even drinking it, never buy it... I might occasionally have it in a restaurant but I don't really think I will want it... it can be conquered and you are just about there... I found that I did feel much better and the acid reflux was also less severe! Now that I am eating so much better the acid reflux has not bothered me much and excuse this but I was a silent belcher... often... and that has also stopped!!! Thanks for making me think of it! You are doing great... Good luck on the tracking challenge you have given yourself... you will do this too! kathy

    ps i have had a coca cola and dr pepper habit for years. I didnt use diet sodas or let my kids have them because i thought it was poison. then I SWITCHED to diet soda. The only time i could lose was when i actuall gave it ALL up. and switched to tea and water.

    I was addicted to Diet Coke myself. I am making an effort to drink water instead, but it has been difficult! You're doing great! And I think you're right about my body telling me it doesn't like fast food. I guess that is a good sign that my body is getting used to healthier foods.

    Hi Karen, It sounds like you are doing better each day. I think we are all going to have those days when we eat something we probably shouldn't but thats ok.. this isn't about being perfect. It's how we learn from what we are doing thats working.. I am so glad to hear that you are letting go of the Pepsi.. Fruits and veggis were a little hard for me at first but now I cannot imagine not having them daily.. lots of them. You have come so far and seem to be getting stronger each day.. I am sop happy that you are getting to get in some exercise without it hurting you so bad too. I am still struggling with my hip and my right heel.. what do you mean by "not walking from the hips?"
