In rushing, rising rivelets... ENOUGH with the rain already...!! Farmer's Market is iffy, we'll see.Somebody's got a case of the Mondays...It's Friiiiidaaay!!Cruising fridge and pantry with my Out-of-Milk app, figuring out what I need for the week. First stop... Farmer's Market!is in Monterrey, Mexico for a few days. Actually worked out this a.m. Here's the view from dinner last night...It's Farmer's Market day! Have some friends coming over later for pool and grill, so gotta be smart...Grilled fajitas, zucchini, peppers, onions and mushrooms. Homemade cocktail sauce with steamed "slap yo' mama" shrimp. Sago palms (males) in full bloom...Pool kinda day... Burgers later.Pool kinda day... Burgers later...Pork country-style ribs in slow-cooker, ran/walked 65 min, herding the cats to church. My pic isn't as professional as Andrea's, but then again, no magazine is doing a feature on me either... :)FRIDAY!!!Not a bad Farmer's Market haul for $27...My oldest grandson turned 8 Saturday. We took him for Mexican food while he was here last week, and this pic says it all. I told my son that they must have switched kids at birth; we can't be related My youngest, psyching herself up for surgery this morning. All went well, fully successful (a wrist break)...Nice, quiet morning. Coffee on the deck, reading, sparking, planning for 9:00 Farmer's Market...This little Pizza shop (daughter loves it) is about a mile away. True sentiment... heat index reached 110 yesterday. Hoping for relief today so I don't die when working out... :)Farmer's Market this morning with my youngest. She turned so her broken wrist is out of sight. She insists the new splint is ugly. Since I'm traveling this week, didn't go crazy w/veggies...Headed to Farmer's Market soon. Rough travel week. Yesterday, I took my daughter to her physical therapy appt. and was tasked to watch her purse. Even in a doc's office, eeeveryone's a comedian...Pork country-style ribs in slow-cooker. Sparkin' and coffee in a quiet house. For now, anyway. Cat-herding for church comes in 30 minutes... :)I really enjoy seeing this sign. Just not so damned frequently... twice this past week, at least once next week. Hard to stay focused on fitness and nutrition...Crystal Springs Resort in Hamburg, NJ. Beautiful sunset last night...Ribs in slow cooker (will finish on grill), headed to church shortly. 5pm flight to Aguascalientes, Mexico for 4 night client trip... Busy, busy...On my run today...In a bathroom at a Monterrey restaurant...Yesterday was meatless Monday at our house... pizza zucchini boats and a caprese salad. Some kinda good...Been a long week...Happy Independence Day! Taken a couple of years ago at Macy's Thanksgiving parade... Has become my favorite flag pic. I'm sorry, but just short of a pound and a half for half a breast of franken-chicken is just not natural.
I have discovered cauliflower rice. Ohymygod!! Great stuff, shown here with my beef & veggie stir-fry...it be rainin'...Well, this is good to see in Houston...Damn cardinal messes with my coffee zen every morning, attacking that "other bird" he sees in the window...
