In spite of the -21 C temperature, it was a lovely hike along the river, Daisy loved it for sure. Total mileage today so far 7.84 (Exercised in the morning first, trying for 200 active minutes daily as I am binge watching the Olympics and don't like to sit for so long so exercise while watching. Finally a break in the weather. I had a lovely 3 mile hike along the river. Saw these ring necked ducks A shorter hike today, just over 2 miles. This storm drain outlet usually has water in it over boulders. Since it froze and then snowed over it, we can easily walk right over it. Makes it easier for the graffiti artists to do their thing. I did some high intensity workouts too. Wouldn't be too bad if my toes weren't so sore with corns, but they were squawking! A nice sunny day for a hike along the river valley. My exercise stats for February: Averaged 207 active minutes daily, 9.78 miles daily and 23371 average daily steps (can you guess I am in a step challenge? 210 active minutes today. It may seem impressive until you realise most people are awake for 1020 minutes in a day! Too much sitting!! A frosty morning here. is on Day 1 of Intuitive evening thanks to a timely accident to my scale. Will I continue or chicken out and buy another scale. My weight has been rock steady for months. Maybe its about time. (1 comments) I attended Gardenscape, 2nd biggest show in Canada about all things gardening while a blizzard was raging outside. As I was there from morning to evening, I only got 72 minutes of exercise in the morning, but a whole lot of steps rushing back and forth to catch speakers and shows all day long.. is satisfied with week 1 of Intuitive eating and getting real with body signals. I think I will try two meals a day as three is too much. (2 comments) 16 contractors made dog houses to be auctioned off to raise money for a dog rescue charity. I had a hard time picking which one I liked best they were all great. Week 1 of intuitive eating passed well, no weight gain. Found new faith based workouts online, but still prefer the dance ones, though I need to shake things up and do other things. 190 minutes of active movement today so then I went out to a Star Wars 4th celebration and saw: A sight I had not ever seen before -trees full of birds- called tree swallows. We watched them doing twirling aerial acrobatics then suddenly all alight on these two trees. It was a large flock! 159 minutes of activity today on a very cold day. 8 Celsius, 46 Fahrenheit. Went to a charity walk for guide dogs. It was a gorgeous sunny, cool morning, but sadly, a poor turnout :-( Their sponsorship was also down. There are just too many charities competing for our dollars that are stretched to the limit!!
