I'm in Florence! Had a lovely Arugula+Brie+Pears+Pine nuts salad at dinner. Updated my blog too.All this walking up and down hills. Not bad for age 67. Shamrock'n in Sacramento.Yesterday was my 67th birthday. It was a bright, sunny, top-of-the-world type of day. Here is how I celebrated:Ha ha! Remember that SP article last week about leggings on Amazon? I'm wearing a size "regular". Their patterns are awesome. #SparkpeopleSpecial Outing to San Francisco yesterday to celebrate our 34th anniversary with the SF Giants and dinner out. It was a great day, plus we got in 12,000+ steps! LOL
Working on the last 15 lbs...Day 1 was perfect! 1238 calories in, 13,800 +/- steps out. Here is a photo as I head to Jazzercise this morning. This my new "Start". I weighed in at 183 yesterday. My doctor wants to see 151. I will be very happy below 163. (I started in 2014 at 256.) #BeforeYummy, legal dinner of Lentil Soup and Greek Yogurt with fresh apple.Vacation is over. Time to reign myself in and return to my (more) healthy lifestyle. Started out with a healthy breakfast and a 55 min workout at Jazzercise. New goal 15 lbs off by the end of August. 50 yr H.S. Reunion!Found a great way to get more steps! We have season tickets to our local miLB baseball games. My husband drives over and enjoys a beer or two. I WALK/trot over and become the Designated Driver for the evening. It's a win-win!Bicycle to Jazzercise! 3 mi each way.I worked out with a RUNNING coach today! My dinner: Chocolate cake and Sangria! I earned it!Bragging rights! Got out on the American River Parkway today and bicycled with my husband.Lots of activity yesterday. Swapped the car for my two feet. Walked to coffee, to class, and back home again. The weight isn't coming off, but at least I'm not a slug.Not losing weight, but I am active every day and keeping my calories at about 1350 daily.Wahoo! Finally below 200. Second goal accomplished. Next goal: survive 3-week vacation with minimal weight gain - like staying below 200!!!Vacation follow-up
YES! I made my goal of not gaining weight while on vacation. In fact, I lost weight. However our wonderful trip to Vietnam was cut in half when my hubby developed Bronchitis. We returned home a week early. The various airports were wonderful about shuttling him via wheelchair, even through customs!
I'll keep on truckin'. My next goal is 190.Whahooo! I've been working on this for quite a while.Eek! 16 lbs to goal. I don't think I've been this small since college. My skin will catch up eventually, I hope.Hiking this morning. 5.5 mi, 3 hrs, 670' vertical. One heck of a way to work up an appetite!My legs have returned to normal! So now I get to work them out again.
