Some things about me:

I am a Christian, and I belong to a nondemnominational protestant church.

I play saxophone, and I am hoping to start a saxophone quartet whenever I find some fellow saxophonists nearby.

I plan to move to Australia (from the US) within the next few years

I like to scrapbook. Right now I am working on a "1st year together" album for my husband and me. In addition to scrapbooking, I am also working on art photography.

I have a cat named Cadenza who has a sweet tooth worse than mine. She helps me diet by begging incessantly whenever I bring out Twizzlers, cookies, even saltine crackers!

I am currently saving up money and learning Italian in hopes of going back to Italy, this time with my husband. The learning Italian is going way better than the saving up money.

I have been dieting since I was in third grade. I know all the "tricks" and have already applied lifestyle changes to put my "normal" diet at 1300-1500 cal/day - but it doesn't change my weight. I have hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) so fasting is a bad idea, and hypothyroidism (low thyroid hormones), which slows my metabolism and makes me too tired to exercise.

My Goals:
My long-term goal is to be in the "healthy" weight category by next Valentine's Day. My short-term goal is to get to 150lbs.

My Program:
I'm following Michael Thurmond's Body Makeover plan. The restrictions are: whole foods only (nothing processed), five to six meals a day, no added salt, no added sugar, no added oils, complex carbs only, lots of vegetables, lots of lean protein, and lots of water. Also I walk 45-60 minutes a day and I'm trying to add strength training 2-3 times a week.
