Introduction Text I''m a 24 year old human services worker with a degree in youth ministry. I am in the process of pursuing a degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am married to a wonderful man! Even though he loves me despite all my rolls and lumps, I know that all of these lumps and rolls are not going to help me have a healthy pregnancy in the future when we decide to begin having children. I want to make sure that I do all that I can to bring my child into the world healthy and beautiful. That is my #1 motivation. Which brings me to motivation #2. I want to lose weight/get healthy so that I can be all that I can be for my youth group one day. I don''t feel as if God wants me to be the youth pastor that sits on the sidelines and watches the teens play. I wish to one day be able to play a basketball game, flag football game, or volleyball game with the teens and not be out of breath from exhaustion. I want to be a mentor for the teens I will minister to one day in multiple ways -- spiritually, emotionally, educationally, and even physically. To do this, I need to step up and start being all that I can be for God. Currently, to motivate myself and maintain self control, this phrase keeps going through my mind... "Every Calorie Counts" -- to me, this means that even the couple snack cakes I grab and say "Oh, they''re small... can''t be too unhealthy for me!" counts towards my journey to weight loss and healthy eating. Snack cakes don''t belong on that journey ;) My first goal weight is 280 lbs. I am currently at 315. The day I reached over 300 is the day that I began to cringe and sigh everytime I looked in the mirror. It was a sign that I had let myself stop caring about who I was or how healthy I was. That''s going to change. I''m all in.

In no particular order... 1. To lose 35 lbs by Easter. 2. To feel comfortable when I tie my shoes. 3. To fit into a size 18 pant/dress. 4. To eat healthier and maintain the healthy diet. 5. To strengthen my heart. 6. To be able to play a sport with teens without getting winded as quickly as usual. 8. To feel comfortable in my day to day life. 9. To be able to be carried by my husband, Brian. 10. To wow my family at Easter. Ultimate Weight Loss Goal: -165 lbs (putting me at 150 lbs) Start date: 1/5/14 As of now : 315 lbs First goal (280): Second Goal (265): Summer Goal (250):

I plan on doing cardio at least 3 times a week -- either running, walking, or speed cleaning. I am a stay at home wife (at least if feels that way... I work 3rd shift 3x a week). Therefore, my goal is to use that to my advantage by doing all the hard stuff around the house in order to stay active. Strength training is a challenge, but over time I want to build up my equipment (nothing major) to be able to do some effective strength training at home.

I'm from Mansfield, OH. I love the Lord and hope to do this change in lifestyle with an attitude of praise! I love to scrapbook, read, write, and meet new people. I have a passion for teens and a passion for Christ. I am married to an amazing guy, Brian. I am looking forward to the many days ahead with my companion :) I struggle with anxiety issues and other personal mental struggles that God and I are on a journey to rid my life of. I am not called to be anxious -- I am called to trust in the Lord with all my heart! I started this journey in July of 2010 and it's been an amazing ride since. I want to write a book about my struggle/journey with God one day (weight loss and all). I'm going to tell my story for His glory ;) Let's see where He takes me now! :)
