I'm a 50 something trying to lose weight and change my life to be healthy and happy again.

I have started the 5% summer challenge on July 27. This will be the 3rd 5% challenge that I have participated in. I lost weight each time (not 5%) and gained it back (+some). There was just so much to keep up with and to do and I have a hard time spending that much time on the computer every day that I took a break and did not participate in the last one (or maybe 2). I was a starfish in the 2 that I did previously. This time I am a Super Underdog!!!

This is my plan:

I will get in my exercise, either walk, elliptical, swim or a class at my wellness center each day.

I will do the LTGL challenges each day (as long as I am able)

I will choose a live-it plan (I refuse to say diet) and stick with it. I am toying with Weight Watchers (on my own) or a moderate carb program.

I will exercise at least 30 minutes daily and log it.

I will follow my diet plan.

I will log weigh in weekly.

I will check in with team and individual team members daily.

I will support other team members by reading blogs and Sparkpages and making comments.

Personal Information:
I am a Registered Nurse in the operating room of a large hospital but I live about 90 minutes away on a 100 acre beef cattle farm. I have been married for 33 years to my high school sweetheart and have 4 dogs. My last cat passed away not long ago at the age of 22 years.

    We have a great team leaders and group of folks on the Trim Healthy Mama team and we're all here for you, I'm just one of the members.

    I just started the very end of Jan. 2015. I bought the THM Plan book Feb. 10th and just got the Cookbook Mar. 10th. But I have started losing weight and inches. In 1 month I lost 5.25 inches and 5 lbs. and I'm a slow loser. Most folks lose faster than me and that's okay, we're all different.

    I know you must love the Trim Healthy Mama Plan and team as much I do!!! I'm adding you as a friend.

    Hi there, I see you are on the team for THM, are you following the plan? I'm on the team as well and hoping the team leader will check in and add me as a co-leader as she said she is not following the plan.

    I've lost 4 lbs in a week...following this plan.

    I have counted calories, points, cut fat, etc. etc. but their plan is out of this world..and I never feel deprived or crave carbs!

    Please come by there often, hoping we can change the name as the THM said we can have this team as long as it is clear they are not officially engaged with the team and not affiliated with it...but we can change the name. Here's hoping.
