Freelance Writer looking to find her POV!
In writing we are always conscious of determining the point of view for our writing. Will it be first person, third person or perhaps we employ a narrator.
Objective or not, I find myself in need of the perfect critique. Those who can read my life in this instance, and help me to create a better me.
The reasons the other drafts have not worked out are really unimportant. What is, is the work at hand.
After beginning these writings in 2009 life took some unexpected turns. Within a period of three months a beloved aunt, birth mother and stepdad all passed away. Our home business faced economic challenges as those who were once our suppliers, themselves went online direct shrinking our customer base drastically.
Hubby took up driving cab to keep up the cash flow. Then after a year of catch up, Oct 11 2011 a thoughtless driver pulled out suddenly in front of his cab. Told the police she thought she could beat him. Seems the opposite and equally valid thought of "maybe not" did not occur to her.
After 8 weeks in hospital and three surgeries Phil is still in a wheelchair and we are beginning to discover our new normal which includes fighting insurance companies who are trying not to pay over $400,000 in medical bills which continues to rise each day.
And so I enter this space to write the next chapter of a life, still under revision at 60. May it always be so...just in new ways.
I have been around this mountain of fitness for too long. 'tis time to move into the promised land of health of vitality.
We need to respect that opportunity...it can be altered or removed in an instant.
God bless.

Beekeeper4 and I live in a small SW Michigan town called Buchanan where we operate Blossomland Bee Supply.
Between us we have 8 children and 13 grandchildren scattered across the US and Ontario, Canada.

I am a freelance writer.

Other Information:
If I could only take one book to that deserted island because of weight restrictions, it would be the Bible.
As a teen I loved studying "Siddhartha" by Hermann Hesse. I took to heart the notion that our life is a culmination of all our experiences and that each one serves a greater purpose...that of ultimate peace.
Another favorite is "Man's Search for Meaning" by Viktor Frankl. Regardless of our prison, the answers are the same.
I loved the movie "White Nights" for its music, dance and drama.
I loved watching my youngest as a child in awe; mesmerized by "Cats" on stage and "ET" on film.
I love the wisdom of my stepson who has grown into the parent I always wanted to be.
I love the heart of my eldest who has touched the hand of the God who chose to leave him with us for yet awhile.

I have been gallivanting around from my home to the coast since May and I have been loving it but not loving all the work that I leave behind to do when I get back! At my house, work has a life of its own and manifests itself in the form of yard work, garden care, dust, laundry and neglected pets; well, the pets think they are neglected but our son looks after them when I'm not here.

I just wanted to let you know that I haven't fallen off the earth; I'm still here or there, but mostly "there" until this fall probably.

Meanwhile I hope you have a lovely holiday and summer and don't work or play too hard.

Hi! Wow! how time flies when we're having fun!

I've been really busy and enjoying the festivities of the Easter season (which is my favorite holiday by the way) and now I'm about to get ready for some over night company that will be here in the early afternoon tomorrow then we will be getting ready to go to the coast for some fun and relaxation. When the sun comes out...I go out! It's great!

How about you? Have you been busy or are you getting ready for BBQ season/summer which will be upon us very soon now!

I read that persimmons have high levels of fiber, potassium, magnesium, calcium and antioxidants which are all super weapons against atherosclerosis! Who knew?

Have a great week and a great Mother's Day on the 8th!

    emoticon Hi again!
You know me; I've been reading again... emoticon
I just read that a spoonful of cooked black rice packs the same amount of anthocyanins as a spoonful of fresh blueberries, but with less sugar and more fiber and vitamin E. I'm not sure that rice is a fruit substitute in that case though; I'll have to give that some food for thought!
emoticon Hey! You've lost another 1.5 pounds since I last visited! You're doing great! Keep up the good work!
emoticon I'm waiting impatiently for the spring sunshine to come; emoticon I know it's out there somewhere, it just hasn't broke through our continual thick cloud cover yet.

I hope you are getting some nice weather where you are! Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

For those who have asked about the accident, probably the best update I can give is the local article written last month, viewable at http://www.nilesstar.com/2011/02/11/buchan

For those who will, when you see the picture of the cab Phil escaped, please thank our God for his grace and mercy.
