The last year has been full of challenges for me. The loss of my mother, father-in-law, a dear aunt, the diagnosis of Lou Gehrig's disease for my father just 5 days before my mom passed away, not to mention the demise of my second marriage. Needless to say, my weight, and my own health has been on the back burner for quite some time. Stress eating, I think, is a large factor in my weight gain. Although the stress is not over, I think it is time to focus on what I need to do to get healthy, stay healthy, and look forward to new beginning for myself. Enter SparkPeople... I am looking forward to this helping me to get focused and stay focused.

My Goals:
To discover who I am underneath all this extra weight! I think my weight has been holding my confidence back for a long time. Enough is enough. I want to become more active, and really just make it part of who I am - not something I have to do to lose weight.



My Program:
I am going to start slowly as SparkPeople seems to be suggesting. I've set a few small goals and will grow larger as time goes on. I have always had an "all or nothing attitude" when it comes to losing weight and I think that has made me less successful in the past. I really want this to be different.



Personal Information:
My name is Wendy. I have just left my second marriage and moved to Conway SC which is right near the beach. Where I have ALWAYS wanted to be. I am excited about a new beginning... although a little afraid!
