I am Joi and I am happily married. It is literally a miracle that we are still married. It is an 80% divorce rate if a couple has 1 special needs child. We have 4 children with special needs. God has expected a lot from us. I am thankful for God's strength & faithfulness to our family in all we have been through. And I am thankful that I know He will always be with us as we continue through this journey. I love my children and am hoping they will become contributing members of our society. I want them to thrive & make responsible choices as they grow up. I want them to be healthy & strong. I am so very glad they all love Jesus & are born again christians. We are a unique family.

Hi Joi! I am a type 2 diabetic that was diagnosed in 2008. I would love to offer support and help each other on this journey. :) I know I could use it and I know how scary it is when you are first diagnosed. I'm trying to lose the weight so I can come off some of my meds. I know that when I eat better and exercise my diabetes does better. I have a son I need to stick around for. :) I read your blog today and am sending big emoticon your way. If you would like to you can friend me and email me or whatever whenever you like. I am going to add you as a friend if that is okay with you:) Have a great weekend and know that you are not alone in this. :) Talk with you soon!

Thanks for all your kind and supportive words. It is so nice to see my goals coming into focus after working so hard. I know all will be well with Brandon.... and the van, not that the van is in the same category as him. emoticon Thank you for the prayers!

Kettlebells would be a good goal to work for. It is a crazy intense cardio workout....just ask Karen! Enjoy the pool today!

    Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! emoticon
