I've been on a bit of a leave due to some medical issues and hopefully will be back and sparking soon. Thanks for all the amazing birthday wishes!



I've been really good at logging into sparkpeople over the last month and it's really helped me on so many levels.

1. I have a feeling of control that I can achieve my ideal weight.

2. The community rocks! I love visiting new pages with new mentors and great ideas everywhere...thank you.

3. I am accountable.

A little bit about myself...
I'm 34 years old. I have a great husband and a son (5 years old) and a daughter (2 years old). Before I had my son I was very active and ran alot - even in -30 degrees celcius (with a balaclava and frozen eyelashes!) I've run several small races (5-10 k's) and a half marathon and a full marathon. BUT, 2 weeks after my full marathon I got pregnant and felt paranoid about running so much...and my mother kept lecturing me...it was enough to stop me...big mistake. It took me FOUR years later to get my butt back in action and running. But running is definitely a different thing altogether now - I don't have a lot of time and I've had a few painful knee injuries. I'm not ready to give up running...but I don't want to sustain life altering injuries either. I'm hoping that by cross training and weight lifting, I can improve my chances.

My eating: This could be a whole novel on its own! I love sugary foods (I know, bad). And I like to eat ALL the time. So, I decided to have six small meals a day (each approx. 200 calories) and it's WORKING!! Every two hours, I grin and grab my meal...it's really helped!

I've been thinking alot about my goals and what I will do to reward myself:

148 - get my eyebrows done...I know I should do this anyways, but I never make the time for myself! ******DONE************

144 - buy this water bottle I want from Starbucks

142 - go for a manicure and pedicure

140 - buy a pair of Lululemon yoga pants

138 - get a new haircut

136 - go to the states to shop with girlfriends

134 - buy a new purse

132 - buy and WEAR a pair of SKINNY jeans!

October 25, 2008 - 144.4 lbs
November 1, 2008 - 145.5 lbs...too much Junk food!

My Goals:
My goal this time is to FINALLY be done with thinking about losing weight.

I turn 35 in March and want to have a rocking hard body by then!!

I would love to say bye to the 140's...they do love me...but I am DONE with them!

Jan.1/09 - weight 135 lbs


My Program:
1. Track everything I eat.
2. Drink 10 glasses of water per day - 5 of those cups should be before noon.
3. Fit as much exercise into my day - walking, etc.
4. Strength train at least 2 times a week.



Personal Information:
I'm from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada...yeah, it's cold...but we're tough and very friendly!


Other Information:
I love to read and listen to music. My children are my big passion right now and I adore spending quality fun time with them.
