Now is the time for me to get healthier and be the best me I can be! I am 57 years old, married with one daughter.

June, 2016~

It's time to get serious and re-focus!

I have gained some of the weight I lost, back, AGAIN.

I am in the process of re-evaluating what I need to do to move forward. I am changing some of my goals. Focusing on the basics. Cutting out some of the clutter.

I will continue to use the SparkPeople's website in ways that have been helpful to me in the past. I will use the Nutrition Tracker and the Fitness Tracker.
I will continue to support my fellow Sparkers by reading your blogs and cheering you on. I appreciate all of your kind support, too!

Let's all start the New Year with realistic and do-able goals...one step at a time.

I had reached my SparkPeople weight loss goal of 49 pounds lost on May 21, 2011.

I want to be healthy & happy for the rest of my life.

I have been overweight most of my life.

I also have been a yo-yo dieter.

I enjoy walking and yoga.

A goal of mine is to find balance and moderation in ALL areas of my life.

My name is Maria & I live in Minnesota.

I worked for over 30 years in the accounting & banking & worked part-time as a Library Assistant.
I also work on our farm where we raise several types of animals & grow vegetables & wine grapes for local consumers.

Proverbs 3:5: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths."

Lose 50 Pounds to reach my SparkPeople Goal.


Other Goals:

-eating at least 5 servings a day of fruits and vegetables.
- making a daily walk a priorty.
- nuturing myself in all areas - mind, body and soul.


My Program:
I am using both the Nutrition Tracker and the Fitness Tracker to help me reach my goals and stay accountable.

I am drinking at least 8 glasses of water per day.

I am walking 30-45 minutes per day 5-6 days per week.

I am wearing a pedometer to track 10,000+ steps per day.

I love Leslie Sansone's DVD's!!!

Cooking and baking are my creative outlets. I am learning how to do both in healthier ways that don't compromise flavor!

    I bought slme cherry tomatoes the other day and thought about you! They were all different colors.
    I just saw a comment I left this summer. My son passed his boards. They have a lot on their plates with a new baby and new jobs! But all is good. I'm just glad I don't have a baby! Haha! My son appreciates me more now that he has one of his own! 😁

    emoticon Maria! Sure glad you stopped by my blog and glad you are still hanging around once in awhile with us. As one of my long time spf's-it sure is appreciated to hear from you. The weight is so easy to gain, isn't it?! I am always afraid of that happening and when I eat bad, I know I am not being good to myself and body tells me that in many ways! emoticon
    One thing I am having a hard time with is the sugary sweets lately...don't know what has gotten into me! UGH! All we can do is keep working hard at overcoming the obstacles that keep us from our goals! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
