I began checking this program out to see what it offers in the way of healthy living.

I've never done anything like this before, but I feel like its high time that I did SOMETHING to keep me focused on being more conscious of my daily choices.

Hopefully, I'll have a great story to write!

I know I need to update this, but I think it is good to be able to look back to where you started. that said...


Sometime in late Jan. or early Feb. of 2011..........

So far (I'm 3 weeks into it at this point), I am doing exactly what I set out to do... PAYING ATTENTION. :) It is easier now to track daily (even in my mind-but I do log everything in) what I am consuming and what I am doing to strengthen and improve ALL parts of me.

This isn't really about weight loss for me, though that is a positive "side-effect". It is about being the Me I want to be. I have had ideas about me, but never the confidence to realize them. Well, that was the past. THIS is the now, and I am doing it every day!!! I can hardly believe that I really am doing it!

Wow! I really AM the awesome person I thought I was! (psssstttt... so are YOU!)

My Goals:
Learning and living a realistically healthy lifestyle


My Program:
Track, track, track!!! My food, and the bits and pieces of exercise I manage.

I have tried to do too much at one time in the past and ended up throwing my hands up and stopping any progress all together.

Not this time. Small bits add up. A little attention goes a LONG way.

oh, and not judging or beating yourself up constantly turns out to be rather helpful! *bright smile*



Personal Information:
It occurs to me that I may not say much about me. So - I live in Wilmington, NC. I am 46. I work as a legal assistant with a real estate attorney. I have 1 dog, and 1 cat at this time. I pretend I own my house, despite what the bank says. I really rather like my life. :)


Other Information:
My property is a Certified Wildlife Habitat, though I live in the suburbs (it doesn't take that much, look into it and do it!!!). I have 2 VERY close, ridiculous friends ("my girls") that I love with everything I am, and a whole host of things to be grateful for. I tend more on the new age/pagan side of the thermometer, and I like a lot of private time.

There, that was pretty random, yes??? LOL!

forgot to say, I laugh at EVERYTHING!!! I actually think I'm funny (hah!), and I curse like a sailor (except at work or in front of children).

    Thanks for stopping by my SparkPage and my blog. It was good to hear how you are dealing with being healthy AND being social. I have found that offering to cook for or with my friends can help to cut down on the number of eating situations that have the potential to get me off plan. Or at least I try to suggest healthier restaurants if people have their heart set on going out.

    While I was over here checking in, I saw your blog about your loss and how you felt sad for not being acknowledged. First of all, AWESOME job losing two pounds!! And not only that, I see you've reached a goal weight on your tracker! That is so great. I do want to say, I hope you'll keep in mind, at least for me and I bet for many other Sparkers, that news doesn't always travel as fast as it should on this website. I find that I can't keep up, so I try to make a point of really checking in by clicking through to my friends sparkpages every now and then and really spend some time there instead of rushing to acknowledge everything....which wouldn't always be possible. So, there's one perspective on how the spark grapevine works. If you ever need a motivation boost, just check in with me on my spark page and I'm happy to send a goody or a message to help you know that I care!

    Actually I'm doing great this week. I'm meeting my exercise and food goals. Thanks for asking. BTW I fear you may have misinterpreted my comment about trite lol. I have nothing against webreviations, what I meant was your post actually did make me laugh out loud not to be confused with how most people use lol ie. "that was mildly amusing".
