Losing weight, feeling great. I have dropped over 10% body mass so far. When I hit the second 10% target, I will be at a healthy weight and can concentrate on maintaining from there.

I have lost weight before. I know how to do it. My goal, at the age of 50, is to get back to my healthy weight, stay there, and maintain my excellent health for another 50 years.

I am tracking what I eat for calories, content, nutritional balance, and health benefits. I am in no big hurry to lose weight, preferring a steady, safe reduction rate. I am incorporating more exercise, primarily bicycling, into my routine. I am turning up the intensity. I intend to get back to a regular 25-30 mile ride.

I am just outside of Roberta, GA, where it is sometimes difficult to find healthy foods or a good place to exercise. Fortunately, I can ride my bike on the trails behind my house (when it is not deer season) and I know a few places in Macon that have organic foods. I like an active lifestyle, including biking, canoing, kayaking, tennis, and just about anything that gets me off my butt.
