That is my 6-word success story and goal.

I started SP in July 2009 at about 163 lbs; exactly what I weighed when I was 9 months pregnant, except my son was 3 years old. I had every excuse in the book for not exercising and eating right. I was unhappy, unmotivated and tired. I was in denial too. I would tell myself that I wasn’t overweight. I didn't look that fat. But the scales, the charts and my clothes kept reminding me otherwise.

After many excuses and failed fads and quick fixes, I finally put a plan into action. With the help of SP tools and support, I lost 25 lbs in the first four months, got into my “skinny” jeans, and started running. I work out at home with DVDs, free weights and the treadmill. I also run outside every chance that I get. In 2010 I reached my ultimate weight goal of 130 lbs and successfully maintained it almost a year. Health and fitness is a regular part of my life. Everyday I try to make the best choices that I can. Sure I occasionally slip up (especially with nutrition), but I make up for it and move forward.

Height: 5' 4”

"It's easy to say you're too tired, too stressed, too busy, too this or too that. Too bad. The only way you'll strip away the fat is to start by stripping away the excuses." -- Dr. Oz & Dr. Roizen- "You on A Diet"

Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein. - H. Jackson Brown

There are no shortcuts to any place worth going. - Unknown

"When someone tells you that you can't go any farther, just tell them to look behind you and see how far you've come." -- Lorna Pitre

"A man who wants something will find a way; a man who doesn't will find an excuse." - Stephan Dolley Jr.

"OBSESSED is just a word the LAZY use to describe the DEDICATED." - Russell Warren

“There's a difference between interest and commitment. When you're interested in doing something, you do it only when it's convenient. When you're committed to something, you accept no excuses; only results.” -Kenneth Blanchard

"You don't get to the finish line and quit, that's when you give it your all." Jillian Michaels

"Your time or weight can ALWAYS be improved upon but if you don't have the heart, nothing will help you. Nothing is more nauseating than someone who could but won't." ON2VICTORY

"If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run."

"Running has given me the courage to start, the determination to keep trying, and the childlike spirit to have fun along the way. Run often and run long, but never outrun your joy of running." - Julie Isphording

"Runners just do it - they run for the finish line even if someone else has reached it first." - Author Unknown

You will never make anyone happy. Someone will always have something (negative) to say; either you’re too fat or you’re too skinny. But it's not about them it's about YOU. Are you happy with what you’re doing? If yes, then keep going. If no, then take action. But it's no one's decision but your own. – Me!

It's like I know what to do....I tell others what to do...but then I don't do it myself. Admitting that problem here on Spark was very, very hard! I'm supposed to be the fitness professional. The food will always be my issue, but I have to be able to control it more, especially when I hit mainenace.

My rule of thumb for the Body Beast workouts has been "take Sagi's weights and use 1/4 of that (or less)" LoL. Some of the moves, I just used no weight at all! I even had to pull out my little 3lbers for some of the tricep moves!
