I can do it!!! or at least that is what I keep telling myself.

I did not complete the half marathon I really wanted to do in April 2011, so I am setting a new goal of half marathon in NOV 2011. Gotta have a new goal in order to make progress. In the new year I have so many opportunities. I am co-founder to a charter school in Nashville. I can't wait and I want to be feeling great... WAHOO

2010: I completed a half marathon on Jan 24,2010 in 3 hr 49 minutes. I was so excited. I also completed an entire triathlon ~swim .5mi-bike 12.5mi-riun 5~ in October 2010.

I survived a lay off, new job, move from Texas to Kentucky and working a new job with inner city youth. I am looking forward to a new year and leaving this one behind me.

2009: I completed my first 5K on 4/25/09 in 49:23. I jogged (even though my jog is as fast as some walk) over 2.5mi of the 3.1mi trek. Congrats to me!!

Now 12.1mi of biking is my goal for 5/17/09...I'll let you know how it goes. WOW!! That was awsome. I think I completed the ride in under an hour which knocked over 15 min off my trial run 3 weeks ago. I feel great and I am ready to complete the ENTIRE Tri myself...my goal-by next June 2010. Hold me to it!

The biking leg of the tri was awesome and I am planning to do the entire thing myself this year, but first my big hurdle will be the half marathon on Jan 24th. My goal is to finish in under 3.5 hours, so wish me luck!

~*Work towards finsihing a half marathon, Jan 2010.
~*Train for a Triathlon, May 2010
~*Starting some interval training and yoga!

Personal Information:
I live in Lockhart, 30 mi S of Austin. I live with my DH who works 4 evenings a week, so I am at home alone many evenings. I use this time to workout and experiment with food, but i HATE cooking for ONE!

    Hey! Just checking in. Congrats on getting those awesome miles in yesterday. I would love to be able to run an entire 5k. That's a goal. :) Just 1 mile would be nice right now. LOL

    ooohh walks around town lake sounds nice...I can't wait to get to excersizing again, as soon as I find the source and cure for this toe thing I am back on my way. I am so tired of the freakin cold though. It makes me want to just bundle up and do nothing! I am a Texas girl at heart. No cold for me!

    Hey Westwind! Thanks for the encouragement and congrats on completing the biking leg of a triathalon! I must admit that I have never been interested in biking, but maybe if I get bored of running or master it (lol) then I'll look at biking next!

    Let me know how your training for the half marathon is going. I'm like an impatient child myself... this is still technically week 1 of my pretraining and I am dying to know what I'll be like 4 weeks from now... 8 weeks from now... etc. Anyway, best of luck to you and I'm sure we'll be chatting in the future.


    p.s. When is your half marathon again?? Did you say January or January is something else?
